Welcome to St. John The Beloved Catholic Church! We are a growing faith community located in Summerville, South Carolina. Under the leadership of our Pastor, Father Raymond J. Carlo, we are a warm and welcoming parish. We strive to make everyone feel as though they have just entered into their Father's house, because that is indeed where we gather.
Our liturgies provide an inspiring and uplifting environment for reverent worship. Our church is rich with symbolism as we gather in the one body of Christ and celebrate our faith.
We enjoy a rich local heritage, being a parish that has worshiped at the same location since 1898. The history of our parish is intertwined with the history of our town, and indeed with Catholicism in North America. It is said that our original church was the first brick structure in Summerville.
With an eye to our past, and an eager anticipation of the future, we continue to grow in faith and size as we welcome all to our vibrant and dynamic parish community. The Holy Spirit continues to guide us and move through us as Catholics committed to living out the Good News. We invite you to join us!
